Above & Beyond the Call of Duty: Black Women of WWII by Author and Historian Patricia Chappine (Ph.D)
Above and Beyond the Call of Duty highlights the experiences of Black women as they navigated World War II both on the New Jersey home front and abroad. Learn about the many ways these women participated in the war effort, including as volunteers, nurses, members of the Women’s Army Corps and the WAVES, as defense industry workers, and much more.
