The Celtic Cultural Club seeks to explore various aspects of Celtic culture and history. We will discuss topics from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Mann, Cornwall, Galicia, and Brittany. Whether you have Celtic heritage or are simply learning, you are welcome to join us. We meet the fourth Saturday of the month at 2 pm.
September Discussion: The Irish Potato Famine, also known as the “Great Hunger,” was a period of hunger and struggle that changed Irish history forever. Millions either died or emigrated to flee the escape the famine. We’ll discuss the events leading up the Famine, the Famine itself, and the impact it had on Ireland and the world.
