October Discussion:  Gaelic Festival Samhain

Samhain is a Gaelic festival that begins the evening of October 31 and continues November 1. Many of the celebrations and rituals of Samhain have made their way into the modern celebrations of Halloween. We will discuss Samhain and the influences it has in today’s world.

The Celtic Cultural Club seeks to explore various aspects of Celtic culture and history.  We will discuss topics from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Mann, Cornwall, Galicia, and Brittany.  Whether you have Celtic heritage or are simply learning, you are welcome to join us.  We meet the fourth Saturday of the month at 2 pm.
