What to spend more time in nature, but unsure how to start? Join us as Marci from the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation guides us through exploring parks and forests. Discover where to go and how to be safe while you learn to appreciate Pennsylvania’s natural resources.

This event will be held on Zoom.

Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation (PPFF) began in 1999 as a statewide nonprofit organization to provide a voice for the Commonwealth’s 121 state parks and 2.2 million acres of forest land. PPFF’s mission is to inspire stewardship of Pennsylvania’s state parks and forests.

A Message from Longwood Gardens:

This year we join local libraries and community partners for the eighth year of the Longwood Gardens’ Community Read–a program designed to encourage reading for pleasure and start a conversation. In 2021, we ask readers to explore where a fascination with plants, gardens, and nature might start for someone. How it might grow into something more? Perhaps flower into a career or hobby?

Registration for this event has now closed.
