Join us for this one-hour presentation/Q&A session about The Winterberg Tunnel. Learn about this underground passage that ran from a behind-the-lines supply depot to the trenches in World War I. When both ends of the tunnel were simultaneously hit by Belgian bombs, 250 men (including Albert Wessel of Choosing Sides) were left inside to suffocate.

David K. Wessel is a recently retired diplomat who served at embassies in Rome, Budapest, Podgorica (Montenegro), and Guatemala.

The Zoom link for the presentation will be sent 24 hours and 30 minutes before the program in the event reminder emails.
