Join Julie Henning for a captivating discussion of her recent book, A Rose in a Ditch. From an alley in Korea to the green hills of Bucks County, this is an Amerasian girl's journey of "Divine Care" through poverty to life in America with Nobel Prize-winning author Pearl S. Buck.

About the Presenter:
Julie Henning was born in South Korea near the end of the War in 1953. Her father was a GI she never knew and her mother was devoted to her daughter until she died when Julie (Goo Sooni) was 13. Nobel Prize winning author Pearl S. Buck found out about the orphaned, hardworking Amerasian student and brought Julie to America in 1968. At the time of Miss Buck's death, Julie was adopted. She was 19 years old. She married Doug in 1977. They have two sons, two daughters-in-love, and five grandsons. A Rose in a Ditch follows Julie's life from her birth to her life today as a retired teacher and a pastor' wife. Julie recognizes God's grace in her life from before she was ever born to the present day. This will most likely be Julie's only book....it's her only life! But the book is Julie - showing love, resilience, tenacity, and grace.
