For 175 years, trains have carried passengers across the American landscape - and from the earliest days, Pennsylvania has reigned supreme.  From the earliest experiments in locomotion to today’s high-speed trains, passengers expect innovative technology and top quality service.  Pennsylvania railroads led the way, and continues to impact travelers today.  Join us to explore Pennsylvania’s unique fascination with the railroad and how train travel has changed over time.  Join us for this fun and interactive experience! 

Presented by:  Juliette H. O’Connor is the Museum Educator I at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.  Prior to joining the museum staff in 2018, she worked in public schools and at the National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum in Coatesville, PA.  She is a graduate of West Chester University and Temple University.  Her primary research interests include Pennsylvania’s industrial and labor history.  She resides with her husband and many pets on their hobby farm in Elizabethtown, PA.
