During this program we will come to understand why canals existed along the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers, the importance coal played in our nation’s energy history, as well as local history, and the industry that was the canal system. 

Presented by archivist and historian for the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and author of Geography, Geology and Genius, Martha Capwell Fox.
