[Details/Reserve]

America On Wheels, opened in 2008, is a museum dedicated to preserving the historical, social, and cultural impact of our nation's over-the-road transportation systems. 23,000 square feet of the building is dedicated to both permanent and changing exhibits. The museum is home to over seventy-five cars, trucks, motorcycles, bikes, the Mac Truck archives, and a number of vehicles on loan from a museum dedicated to the truck manufacturer. A highlight of the collection is a gas-powered carriage built by local mechanic Henry Nadiq a couple of years before the arrival of the first gas-powered auto. The museum is handicap accessible—elevators and ramps serve all public areas within the building. There is a gift shop and café on the premises.
